Tommy Horan opened his new hotel and ballroom on October 14th, 1970 with Maurice Mulcahy and his Bandshow.
For the next three decades the venue hosted all the top showbands, as well as many international artists.
By the early 2000s, it appears the ballroom had been converted to a nightclub but was still going strong.
As far as we can tell by 2021, the Hotel had been closed (we think) and the ballroom was known as the
Horan's (shopping) Centre. The premises was still standing but was "for rent" (see photos bottom of page).
